URL redirection allows you to redirect site visitors from one website to another. In contrast to forwarding a domain name by parking it when the domain is unusable, a URL redirection is possible only if the domain name is hosted, meaning that you will still have the ability to create fully functional subdomains and email addresses or even to have content for the domain name in question, even though it shall not accessible directly. If you currently have a site, for example, but you would like to launch one or many localized sites for different towns or countries, you shall be able to work on them without a problem. When a website visitor opens any one of the new domains, however, they shall be sent to the existing site. This way, you won't miss customers while building the localized sites.

URL Redirector in Shared Hosting

When you host your Internet sites with us and you have a shared hosting plan, you shall be able to use our URL redirection tool to forward the website visitors from any domain address and subdomain, or from a subfolder under any of them, to a different Internet address. The procedure takes a few basic steps through an intuitive interface, so you can create a redirection even if you don't have any previous experience. You will only need to pick a domain name or a subdomain using a drop-down list, to choose the folder in which the redirection will be created (the root folder or a subfolder), and then to type in the URL where the visitors must be redirected to. For more knowledgeable users, there are also options to pick the redirection type (permanent or temporary) and the method (direct or match). Any forwarding that you create could be deactivated from the very same section of the CP, if you do not require it anymore.
